What happens to my funds if Rizon shuts down or stops operating? Can I still access my money?

Your funds are completely safe- even if Rizon were to stop operating. When you sign up for Rizon, a non-custodial wallet is automatically created for you in the background. You're the sole owner, meaning only you can access and control your assets. No one else, including Rizon, can access them.

For more details on how our infrastructure works, please refer to our Terms of Service.

General
What is an on-chain transfer?

An on-chain transfer is a secure way to send or receive digital currencies like stablecoins directly over a blockchain network. Unlike centralized payment systems, on-chain transfers are transparent, irreversible, and fully decentralized- giving you full control over your funds.

How It Works
  • Share Your Wallet Address or QR Code
To receive funds, simply share your Rizon wallet address or QR code.
  • Use a Supported Blockchain Network
Transfers occur on public blockchains such as Base, Polygon, or Solana. These networks act as decentralized ledgers, ensuring transparency and security.
  • Choose the Right Stablecoin & Network
Make sure the sender uses a supported stablecoin (like USDC or USDT) and selects the correct network that matches your Rizon wallet. Using an unsupported network can result in lost funds.
  • Transaction Confirmation Time
Once the transfer is initiated, funds typically arrive within minutes, though it can take longer during periods of network congestion. You’ll see the incoming transaction confirmed on-chain and reflected in your Rizon wallet shortly after.

General
Are there fees for using the Rizon Card?
  • First 1,000 virtual cards: Free
  • After that: $10 issuance fee
  • ATM withdrawals: small fee may apply depending on location.

See the full fee schedule.

Fees
Can I send stablecoins to anyone?

Yes. You can send stablecoins to any wallet address, phone, or email (except for a few blacklisted countries - see list), as long as the recipient accepts stablecoins.

Transactions
How do I send stablecoins?

Log into your Rizon account, tap “Send,” choose the amount, and enter the recipient’s phone number, email, or Rizon tag (RizTag). When you're sending money to a non-existent Rizon user, we’ll notify them via SMS or email with transaction details and an invite to join Rizon.

Sending to other Rizon users is instant and fee-free.

Transactions
How does Rizon work?

When you sign up, a non-custodial wallet is created for you- securely tied to your identity but fully private and accessible only to you. We’ve partnered with Privy to ensure your wallet is generated and encrypted safely on your device using advanced security tools like Face ID, passkeys, and biometric verification.

When you deposit stablecoins, your funds don’t go to a centralized account- instead, they’re stored in a smart contract vault managed on-chain. This vault is deployed and maintained by Rain Cards, and your Rizon wallet is its sole owner. That means no bank, exchange, or even Rizon can move or access your money.
